 The Chechen Republic Election Committee held a working meeting in Grozny with chairmen of the Chechen Republic Territorial Election Committees who reported on how they taught the voters to exercise their civil rights and trained the organizers of elections.
A question on formation of new territorial departments of the Chechen Republic Election Committee was discussed at the meeting too.
The chairman of the Chechen Republic Election Committee, Ismail Baikhanov, turned all participants’ attention to those changes that had been made in the law and came into force on June 4, 2010. According to these changes, a term of powers of the Territorial Election Committees’ members ends each 5 years.
Besides it, the participants of the meeting discussed a question on preparation for a next seminar planned for July 15-18, 2010 in Grozny.
