The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Clerics’ Department, sheikh ul-islam Allahshukur Pashazade, in his opening speech noted that this summit meeting was an important event in the Azerbaijan history of independence. In turn, Mufti of the Chechen Republic, Sultan Mirzaev welcomed all present religious leaders on behalf of the Chechen Republic president, Ramzan Kadyrov. Mirzaev thanked this summit meeting’s organizers. Sultan Mirzaev noted in his report that economic, political and cultural globalization substantially found the ways of development for the countries and the world community as a whole. “We, participants of the world summit of religious leaders, are representatives of Muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddhists and other world communities. We should be setting an example of peaceful co-existence, tolerance, mutual understanding and friendly relations,” - Sultan Mirzaev emphasized. He added later: “All we should overcome cruelty and fanaticism born by the depreciation of friendship, family and human life. It is necessary to stop devaluation of human values.” A Document about interreligious cooperation development has been signed by the participants as a result of the world summit meeting of religious leaders.
