 Dear employees of mass media, I congratulate you on Day of Russian Press! This day emphasizes the importance of printings. Journalists’ job is difficult and responsible. However, you have one of the most powerful weapons - a word. The first President of the Chechen Republic Akhmat-Hajji Kadyrov properly appreciated journalists’ activity and treated them with deep respect. In spite of all difficulties of the war time, he created good working conditions for journalists, protected their right to cover events happening in the republic. He always used to call on the local representatives of mass media to cover the most serious problems of society and reveal the whole truth

 The Chechen Republic’s head Ramzan Kadyrov demands ‘to eradicate all facts of kidnapping girlfriends’. With regard to the discussion about the act of kidnapping a girlfriend in Geldagen village on December 28, Ramzan Kadyrov held a meeting with the Chechen vice-chairman Magomed Daudov, Chechen Republic Minister of Internal Affairs Ruslan Alkhanov, Chechen Republic Mufti Sultan Mirzaev, a number of district administrations’ heads and representatives of district Muslim clerics.

 A wonderful event dedicated to the 54th anniversary of the restoration of Chechen nation’s state system was organized yesterday in the State Concert Hall in Grozny. Among those present at the event were Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen Republic’s head, Adam Delimkhanov, State Duma deputy, Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov, the Chechen Parliament’s chairman and many others.

A Happy New Year’s Eve for children |

 Children of the Chechen Republic Educational Boarding School (children’s home) had a big party for the new year. Employees of the Chechen Internal Revenue Service (the IRS) gave children gifts that made them feel happy. Yesterday, the head of the local IRS Islam Vazarkhanov visited children and widow of the Chechen tax bodies’ former employee Ramzan Khamirzoev and gave them generous gifts.

 Problems of the Chechen modern variety art and ways of dealing with these problems were discussed at the meeting of the Chechen Republic’s head with the local intelligentsia. Among those present (invited) at the meeting were the well-known composers and poets composing songs for the Chechen singers.
