 The opening of “Shovda” tourist resort centre was held in the Chechen Republic. This resort centre is located in one of the most picturesque places of Gudermessky district, not far from the federal motorway М-29 "Kavkaz". Among those present at the opening ceremony were the Chechen Republic’s head Ramzan Kadyrov, deputies of the Chechen Parliament, ministers and heads of districtt administrations.

 The Emergency Service’s hotline is operating in Grozny. It was the Chechen Republic Head Ramzan Kadyrov’s offer made at his meeting with Mayor of Grozny in the middle of January. Grozny Mayor Muslim Khuchiev informs that ‘people now can call this service in any emergency’. He explained: “People can call the ES that solves problems with heating, electricity and water supply; deals with fire, crime, accidents, injuries, floods. The ES has a number of operators. The “hotline” will operate round the clock.”

 A seminar on ‘GLONASS’ system has been held today in the Chechen Transport Ministry. Among those present at the meeting were the Chechen Republic Minister of Transport Magomed Cherkhigov, the GSOI’s Rector Khusain Taimaskhanov, an expert of GLONASS system Victor Platonov, a number of ministers, representatives from different organizations, scientists and many others.

 The Chechen Republic will take part in the VIIIth Economic Forum on “Modernization strategy: the new operational system” that is scheduled to run in Krasnoyarsk from February 17 until February 19, 2011, the Chechen Republic Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdula Magomadov informs. As he said, one of the forum’s aims is the advanced development in the field of energy conservation. He emphasized that the exposition of the Chechen Republic would be prepared at its highest level.

 The Subject Olympiad has been started in the Chechen Republic, Samani Murtazalieva, the leading specialist of secondary education of the ChMSE, informed. She said: “The Olympiad will last until February 5. All participants will compete in possessing detailed knowledge of 18 school subjects. Today, in the Olympiad’s first day, children show their knowledge of physics and German.”
